The deadline for the 2009 Premier’s Awards’ nominations has passed. Thank you to everyone who submitted a nomination!

Please join us in June at the Great Hall of the NWT Legislative Assembly in Yellowknife to help celebrate the outstanding efforts of this year’s Premier’s Award recipients.

Through hard work and dedication, Government of the Northwest Territories (GNWT) employees help to make the Northwest Territories a great place to live . They educate our children, provide health care, maintain our highways and do countless other tasks.

The GNWT recognizes the need to acknowledge and celebrate those outstanding individuals and teams that have gone above and beyond through the annual Premier’s Awards.

Premier's Awards

Each year, the Premier of the Northwest Territories honours employees who show excellence, innovation and dedication in their work. If you would like to nominate an outstanding employee or team for this year’s Premier’s Awards, please review the nomination steps and criteria provided below.

How to Nominate

Nominations for the 2009 Premier’s Awards must be submitted by April 1st 2009 at 5pm. Late nominations will not be accepted.

Nomination forms can be submitted electronically. To submit a nomination:

  1. Review the nomination criteria (available below) to ensure that your nominee is eligible.
  2. Select the link to the appropriate online nomination form (available below).
  3. Follow the instructions provided in the nomination form. Please note that some questions require answers, and you will be unable to submit your nomination until these questions are complete.
  4. It is recommended that you complete and save your long answer questions in a word processor such as Microsoft Word, in the unlikely event of data loss / power outage while submitting the form. Long answer questions are provided on the opening page of the form.
  5. Once you are satisfied with your nomination, hit the SUBMIT NOMINATION button on the final page of the nomination form.
  6. You will receive a verification of receipt within one working day of your submission.
  7. If you have questions, require assistance, or have not received verification within one-working day of submitting a nomination, please contact Chris Gamble, Succession & Workforce Planning Officer, Department of Human Resources at 867-920-3475 or by email at chris_gamble@gov.nt.ca.
