Trades Tool Allowance
Depending on your job you maybe entitled to allowances. For example, Journeymen and Apprentices are provided with a Trades Tool Allowance of $500 per year tool allowance. As per Collective Agreement Appendix A7.07, this allowance is included in your first pay in September.
This is entered on your Timesheet using the Time Reporting Code T0A .
Safety Wear AllowanceAn annual allowance paid to employees who are required, by their employer, the Worker’s Safety & Compensation Commission (WSCC), or the NWT Safety Act, to wear safety footwear and gloves. This annual allowance will not be paid where an employee is provided with safety footwear by the Employer. As per Collective Agreement Appendix 46.06, this allowance is to be awarded on initial appointment and after every 12 months of employment thereafter.
This is entered on your Timesheet using the Time Reporting Code HSW.
