Printing Your Pay Advice
Normally, your Pay Advice (pay stub) is “Suppressed.” This means you will not receive a paper copy of your pay advice from your department, but you are able to view and print your Advice online by following the steps below.
If it is necessary for you to receive a paper copy of your Pay Advice (i.e. if you do not have access to a computer, or if you are going on extended leave), you can request to have your Pay Advice “Unsupressed” by contacting the HR Helpdesk.
Viewing Your Pay Advice:
You are able to view your biweekly Pay Advice on the Wednesday before Payday. Paydays are every second Friday. Click here to see a payroll calendar.
To view your Pay Advice online, sign into Self Service, and navigate to:
Self Service > Payroll and Compensation > View Paycheck
From here you also have the option of clicking on the “View a different paycheck” link to
view your pay from previous pay periods.

Printing Your Pay Advice:
Depending on the configuration of your computer/printer, you may have to change some settings to receive a full printout of your Pay Advice. Depending on the number of deductions and earnings, your printed Advice may be on 2 pages.
It may be necessary to reset these settings each time you print.
Changing the Margins
1. File > Page Set Up
2. Reset all
margins to 0 (this will default them to the lowest possible setting for full page width).
Selecting Pages to Print
Some printers may print blank pages or only 1 page of your Pay advice. Because your Pay Advice is "Frame Based", you may have to click on the actual page (or frame) to print the document.
- In your Pay Advice, minimize the Self Service menu on the left side of the page.
- Move your mouse over the page until the pointer changes an " I " (for example, move the mouse over your name near the top of your Pay Advice).
- When your mouse changes to an " I" Click on the page.
- File > Print Preview
- Select "Only The Selected Frame" from the drop-down menu. This will ensure only your Pay Advice is printed. Use the arrow icon at the top to view the next page.
- Select the "Print" icon on the far left. Choose your printer. Click on "Printing Preferences" to choose double-sided printing.
- Print your pay advice.
