UNW Collective Agreement

COLLECTIVE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE UNION OF NORTHERN WORKERS AND THE MINISTER OF HUMAN RESOURCES

 

A Collective Agreement was ratified between the Government of the Northwest Territories and the Union of Northern Workers (UNW) on June 7, 2012. This is a four-year agreement expiring March 31, 2016.

Bold highlight denote changes from the previous Collective Agreement.

NEW Amended Appendix Article A9.04(5)

The final wording (bolded) for the new Article A9.04(5) of the Collective Agreement between the Union of Northern Workers and the Government of the Northwest Territories which expires March 31, 2016 were agreed to by the parties during collective bargaining but not made in the electronic or printed version of the Collective Agreement:

A9.04(5)   Professional development training funds shall be used for individual purposes and not be used for group training.  In cases where several College Educator/Instructors want to attend the same event, the College Educator/Instructors, or their Program Manager(s), may request to the Vice President or Director of the College Educator/Instructors’ division(s) that short-term training funds be used to have the event delivered locally.

 

The formal printed version of the Agreement is the official copy.  The online version of the document is identical to the formal printed version, apart from some minor formatting differences that arise when documents are placed onto the Internet.
